U.S. State Department Director for Brazil and Southern Cone Affairs;

National Security Council Director for Central Asia, Caucasus and Caspian Energy Issues;

Economic and Financial Section Chief at U.S. Embassy Moscow during the 1998 financial crisis;

Other Washington-based assignments on Japan, Korea and Syria and overseas posts in Saudi Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan;

Co-founder and President of the Board of the Center for Financial Stability(CEF), a leading think tank and forum for public-private sector discussion;

Senior Advisor to Secretary of Finance in Argentina's Economy Ministry and to Central Bank Chairman (2000-2002);

Board member of Hidroelectrica Piedra del Aguila and Caja de Valores;

Senior Analyst U.S. Federal Mortgage National Corporation (FannieMae);
